Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop

Welcome to my channel and the Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop. I am hopping with the Kat Scrappiness Design Team. As you can see, Kat Scrappiness is offering a coupon code for a limited time. Head over to her store and treat yourself. Let’s jump into the card.

Today, I am sharing this very quick and easy coffee themed card featuring products from Kat Scrappiness. There are times that I love to put together detailed fun scenes or create cards with a lot of layers and then there are days I want to play, but not think too much? Are you feeling me? This was one of those days. I had several great products that I wanted to share and they just so happened to help keep my creative juices flowing, but still allow me some time to head outside and enjoy the gorgeous fall weather here in Nevada.

https://bit.ly/34ZA6VJI started with this new Kat Scrappiness “Cuppa Christmas” slimline paper. I am now in full on Christmas card making mode. I am not a Halloween gal, but Christmas is magical. This vibrant paper was the springboard to this card. There are 12 patterns in the collection with a beautiful teal, red and yellow color theme. Although it is paper designed to fit a slimline card, it is not limited to those long beauties. My finished card measures 4.25×5.5 and I was able to incorporate the paper into my project just fine. I used two of the patterned papers. I cut the teal pattern to 1.5×5.5 and the red coffee pattern 3.5×5.5. Then I cut an 1/8 x5.5 inch piece of gold card stock. I placed the small teal paper to the left and the red to the right onto my 4.25 x 5.5 in. Neenah Solar White #80 card base using my go to Art Glitter glue. I then covered the seam with my sliver of gold cardstock.

Next, I stamped my adorable sloth from the KS “Stewart the Sloth Stamp set using Momento Tuxedo Black Ink onto another piece of Neenah Solar White #80 cardstock. I used my Copic Markers to color him in. For the Sloth I used E29, 25, 27 23. For the coffee cup Y19, Y17, Y15 and for the steam BG000 and BG01. I used my Brother Scan n Cut 2 to cut him out. Finally, I added double sided foam tape to the back of the image.

To complete the card, I printed out a bold sentiment using MS Word in red ink and cut it down using my Tim Holtz guillotine trimmer. I added double sided foam tape to the back of each line in the sentiment . I adhered each of the sentiment lines and the sloth to my card front and just like that we are done. Here is one last look at my finished card.

Thank you so much for joining me today. I hope you like my card for the “Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.” Head over to the Kat Scrappiness Shop and get your coffee, fall, Halloween and Thanksgiving goodies using the FallCoffee2020 coupon code for 15% off. 2. WOW, You lived in the ‘boat for 14 years! Amazing!!! I miss that place. I used to go in my college days, back in the 80’s. I lived in Vail for ten years; too expensive and no crafty site; at least when I was there. 😉 I really like your card and the fun sloth. I think that is how I feel when I am not jubilated or got my mojo going! HA! Aren’t we all like that?!!!!
I also like that you created your own sentiment in word and I will have to remember to do that more often! I used to do that a lot and it was handy! Great, great card!!!!
